about : tcg
What is a TCG you ask? TCG stands for Trading Card Game. That's right, just like those Pokemon cards you've seen the kid's going wild over. However, this kind of TCG is different. Not only is it online, with an easy way to find other members to trade with, it is also completely free! No cards that you have to buy with real money! Just join, receive your starter pack and start playing!
about : the idea
The idea for online TCGs came from the wonderful Calico. She started the trend with SCM, which she is currently running again now as SCM!R. If you are a BSSM fan, you should definitely join!
about : the name
Ivalice is the name of the world in Final Fantasy Tactics & Final Fantasy 12. This was originally going to be a FF12 TCG, but was quickly branched out into an all FF TCG.
about : how it works
First things first, you should have a trading post. A trading post is a webpage/site where you display the cards you have earned from Ivalice or any other TCG. This is where I'll be checking up on for for active sakes and to check your trading log. A trading log is required here at Ivalice. This is where you keep track of where you earned your cards from and who you traded with. Now, after you join, you will receive your 'starter pack', which will contain of 7 cards and 20 gil. These cards are 2 cards from the deck you are collecting and 5 random cards.

about : levels
Levels are determined by the card worth you have. We also require you to have a certain amount of trades as well as deck masteries.
| LEVEL | CARD VALUE | TRADES | MASTERIES |
| One | 0-50 | 0 | 0 |
| Two | 51-100 | 1 | 0 |
| Three | 101-200 | 2 | 1 |
| Four | 201-300 | 5 | 2 |
| Five | 301-500 | 20 | 5 |
| Six | 501-700 | 30 | 7 |
| Seven | 701-900 | 40 | 10 |
| Eight | 901-1500 | 60 | 15 |
| Nine | 1501-3000 | 80 | 25 |
| Ten | 3000+ | 100 | 35 |
How this works: card value speaks for itself. Trades go by total trades you make throughout every level. If you already have 5 trades by level 2, don't worry they still count, those 5 trades will count all the way up to level 4 when you actually need those 5 trades, then you will only need 15 more trades for level 5. Masteries are how many decks you have mastered. These work just like the trades do. Now even after you reach the last level, you still get to receive rewards. For every 200 card worth points (not actual count), 2 deck masteries, and every 20 trades after the last level, you can fill out the level up form.
For each time you level up, you will recieve 2 regular choice cards, 2 random regular cards and a random materia ball.

about : materia
There are currently four types of materia. Magic Materia, Skill Materia, Independant Materia and Summon Materia. Materia are used in Ivalice's Battle Arena (see next section for information). To get materia, you can exchange empty materia balls for actual materia at the Materia Shop. How do you get blank materia balls? You receive them from leveling up, mastering a deck, getting a member card, donating images for ten different decks, getting 3 numbers in the lottery and everytime you receive a dressphere.
about : battle arena
The Battle Arena is an original game here at Ivalice. It was created by myself and Jami.
At the Battle Arena, you are able to fight monsters for prizes! Before you can participate, you must atleast buy a weapon at the Equipment & Items Shop, so you can fight. Other things you are able to use are Materia, Summons and Potions! To use any of these, you must actually have them.
Materia are on a one use limit. If you have Fire and Fira, they do not count as the same materia, as long as you have enough stamina points, you can cast each one time. This also includes the Steal option, you may only use it once. Stamina points look like this: It costs 2 points to make an attack, cast level 2 and 3 magic, cure, steal or use a potion. To use a summon or cast level 3 magic, it costs 3 stamina points. If you run out of points before the battle is over, you have to retreat. These points are gained in games.
If you are damaged during the battle, you may cure or use a potion. You can use a potion as long as you have one in your post inventory. You can use Cure as long as you have that materia -- and you can only use it once per materia: Cure, Cure and Curaga. Remember that these do take 2 stamina points. If you're out of potions and Cure uses, you will have to retreat.
Got it all, guys? Then head over to the rules!
